Aradia

Aradia, referred to as the Gospel of the Witches, a book composed by the American folklorist Charles Godfrey Leland published in 1899, contains what he believed was the religious text of a group of pagan witches in Tuscany, Italy.  Disputed by various folklorists and historians that such a group existed; it remains influential in the development of the contemporary Wica movement beginning in the 20th century.
